Mack is a Ruby web application framework that is being built from the ground up to aid in the development of distributed, portal-like applications that have a need for speed. Mack supports best of breed technologies in a modular way.

Mack is written and maintained by Mark Bates and the Mack Community.

Mark is the Director of Architecture for a Rails based company in Andover, MA. Mack is being developed by Mark as a replacement to Rails to help meet the business needs of this company.

To find out more about the Mack Framework I highly encourage you to read the API documentation. The framework is very well documented and should be a very easy read. You should also checkout the Mack Framework blog @ http://www.mackframework.com
